Real Good Show is a Vancouver-based sports-talk comedy podcast more concerned with telling jokes than breaking news. John Cullen, Stefan Heck and Justin Morissette try (and often fail) to talk about what's new in the wild world of sport, with new episodes every week (or so). Like hockey? You're gonna love us. Hate sports? You'll still have fun.
Justin Morissette is the co-host / producer / engineer of Real Good Show. In addition to his work in Vancouver radio, Justin is a freelance sports announcer whose voice can be heard at collegiate, high school and junior sporting events all over town. A 2012 graduate of BCIT's Broadcast & Online Journalism program, he's served as the play-by-play voice of the BCHL's Surrey Eagles, the NWJHL's Dawson Creek Junior Canucks, as well as BasketballBC's High School Provincial tournament. He is a former Music Director / Afternoon Host on Peace FM in Chetwynd and Dawson Creek, BC.
Stefan Heck is a "comedy" "writer" from Vancouver whose work has appeared in Gawker, Deadspin, SBNation, The Awl and elsewhere. You may know him as the man who killed Scott Baio with diapers, an erotic Jon Taffer anime roleplayer, or the infamous mock draft ruiner. You can currently find him writing topical jokes for CAFE.com, and browse more of his work at boringasheck.com.
John Cullen is a Toronto-born stand-up comic, semi-pro curler, teacher and writer who may have moved to Vancouver, but left his sports allegiances in Ontario. In 2015 he performed in the Homegrown competition as part of the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, and his curling team fell just shy of representing BC at the Brier, losing the provincial final in extra ends. As a sports writer, his work has appeared in Hockey Now, the Vancouver Province, CanucksArmy and Shnarped Hockey. Find his stand-up dates and other musings at cullenthecomic.com.
