50 episodes! Can you believe we're still doing this?? This week we're celebrating the big 5-0 with top-shelf guests, new and old! Writer/model Melissa Stetten talks up THE PISTOL SHRIMPS as the L.A. women's rec league basketball squad hits the big screen, and shares a priceless Blake Griffin story. NEXT, Dalhousie Tigers forward (and RGS Official College Student) Jackson Playfair returns to the show to analyze how his friend Auston Matthews' vibrant personality will shine under the big-league media spotlight. FINALLY, Jesse Farrar desperately tries to make it on to the big anniversary special, and this description should already tell you he succeeds.
The podcast got picked up to series! The boys are back for the sequel, and this time they're mad as hell. It's a little heavier on the actual sports discussion this time out, but tempers are high and the fans demand rage. Topics include: Phil Kessel, Zack Kassian, fathletes, cheeseburgers, drinky-poos, Bar Rescues and betting on break-ups. Plus: who would you dunk on? The return of Big Country's Dong. And the podcast bravely comes out as firmly anti-Hitler.
The hot dog vendor who parks daily at Front and John Sts. just lost his most reliable customer.
Almost every afternoon at 2:30 p.m., often wearing a toque, Phil Kessel would wander from his neighbourhood condominium to consume his daily snack.
And now he’s gone. Just like that.
Steve Simmons put a hit piece out on Phil Kessel, but it's unlikely that the first anecdone in his story is true. Phil Kessel doesn't live or work near Front and John, and it's unlikely that if he wanted a hot dog every day he'd walk halfway across a major city to a specific vendor at the busiest time of day to get one there.
ONE GOOD THING
Stefan recommends: Minions (the characters? the movie? sarcastically? we don't know)
John recommends: Jamie xx - In Colour
Justin recommends: Trailer Park Boys (Season 9) & also a dancing miracle bird
